AdBlue Removal

AdBlue is used in a process called selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce emissions of nitrogen from the exhaust of diesel engines.  It is a 32.5% solution of high-purity urea.

SCR systems are very sensitive to potential chemical impurities in the urea solution; therefore, it is essential to maintain high standards of AdBlue quality according to the ISO 22241 standard.

Many companies or individuals looking to reduce the enormous cost AdBlue can add to the running of their truck or fleet have tried buying cheaper AdBlue from resellers.  In many cases these resellers are simply diluting the AdBlue with unknown chemicals which can lead to far more expensive consequences.  Adblue have now announced that they will not offer any warranty if the operator has failed to use genuine AdBlue, or if the AdBlue has been diluted.

If you wish to reduce the consumption of AdBlue in your truck\fleet or even completely disable the function then we can reprogram the ECU to do this.  The benefits are that you can reduce the consumption of AdBlue, which makes the use of genuine AdBlue a far more affordable prospect, or simply remove it completely.  The process of ECU reprogramming will not leave any traces of the system being inactive or store any fault codes within the ECU & without errors displayed on the dash. Whilst reprogramming the ECU can increase the trucks fuel economy, increase torque & performance, we should make you aware AdBlue removal should only be carried out on non road going vehicles or for race purposes only.
